The Matt Fiddes Martial Arts brand is now based at 500 clubs and Matt has become a successful entrepreneur who works to support charities, especially those that help children develop and fulfil their lives.
A father of three, Matt has grown the Matt Fiddes brand from Devon to take a lead in the international martial arts world with his unique programmes developed for children and adults. Matt has established a reputation as a martial arts trainer with a wide circle of celebrities ranging from actors, models and musicians to professional footballers. He has trained members of the Jackson 5 and recently was invited by Peter Andre to come on to ITV's Katie & Peter show to help Peter improve his level of fitness.
In our societies where there are genuine concerns about kids going off the rails, rising crime and a lack of prospects Matt is a breath of fresh air who has dedicated his life to improving the life skills of children, young people and adults. His launch in 2007 of the NOBULL anti-bullying campaign (www.nobull.org.uk) received huge support from children, teachers and parents across the UK and was praised by the media internationally with stories in the USA and India!
Bullied throughout his time at school in Swindon Matt became a black belt martial artist at the age of 11 and had opened his first martial arts school aged just of 17. He went on to own the largest Martial Arts school in the UK within just six months. His school in Barnstaple, Devon attracted 600 active members and was a sought after place to train and study. Because of his success Matt has been featured several times on the front covers of martial arts magazines around the world. He is frequently billed by these magazines as the "UK's most successful Instructor".
Matt is a 6th Degree black belt master in Tae Kwon Do and holds a Black Belt in Kickboxing and Kung Fu. He also sits on the board of advisors for the Worldwide Martial Arts Teachers Association (MATA) along with the cream of the world's best martial arts teachers.
Matt has gone from £100 used to set up his first martial arts club to develop a multi-million pound, world-beating international martial arts franchise and brand.
